Bookings Terms & Conditions
1. Bookings at JR Zone
1.1 These terms tell you information about Us and the terms and conditions upon which you can make a Booking and we supply the Birthday Party, Laser Quest Party, Private Hire, Soft Play or any other organised event to you and any Participant. These Terms will apply to any Booking made with us. The term ‘Booking’ refers to and Birthday Party, Laser Quest Party, Private Hire, Soft Play, Jolly Tots or other organised event at JR Zone, Newport.
1.2 Please read these Terms carefully and make sure that you understand them. You will be asked to agree to these Terms before making any Booking. Please also read our Rules of Play.
1.3 We amend these terms and conditions from time to time. Every time you submit a Booking to us, please check these Terms to understand the terms which will apply at that time. These Terms were most recently updated on 17th April 2023.
1.4 When you submit any Booking to us, this does not mean we have accepted your Booking.
1.5 If we are unable to provide the Booking for any reason, we will inform you of this at our earliest opportunity and you will be offered an alternative date and time, or alternatively a full refund.
2. Booking payment terms
2.1 The prices of the Booking will be as quoted on Our Site at the time you submit a Booking. We take all reasonable care to ensure that the prices of the Booking are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto Our Site. However please see clause 2.4 for what happens if We discover an error in the price of the Booking.
2.2 Prices for Booking may change from time to time, but changes will not affect any Booking you have already made.
2.3 The price of the Booking includes VAT (where applicable) at the applicable current rate chargeable in the United Kingdom.
2.4 Our website contains a number of activities and associated options. It is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the activities on our website may be incorrectly priced. If we discover an error in the price of the activity you have booked we will contact you to inform you of this error and will give you the option of continuing to purchase the activity at the correct price or cancelling your Booking. Please note that if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a miss-pricing, we do not have to provide the Booking to you at the incorrect (lower) price.
2.5 Your full payment, depending on your activity requirement, secures your Booking, subject to clause 1.5.
2.6 When making a Booking you will be asked for full payment. The payment is calculated on the number of guests at the time of the Booking. You will have the opportunity to adjust your numbers within reason and as long as you have not reached your activity capacity, and the capacity for the venue for that session has not been reached. Participant numbers on the Booking can be amended up to 48 hours before the date and time of the Booking, at which point you will be asked to pay the difference. Please consider, when confirming your final party numbers, we are unable to offer any form of refund once your final payment has been processed.
2.7 JR Zone reserves the right to refuse extra party guests on arrival if we have not been notified 48 hours in advance, you have reached your maximum capacity for your Booking, or the capacity for the venue has been reached. In the event that you have not reached your maximum capacity and we are able to accommodate, unnotified additional guests will be charged at the prevailing rate.
2.8 All Birthday Party and Laser Party Bookings require a minimum of 10 children (including the birthday child). The maximum number of guests is activity specific and is established based on the capacity of the room allocated, or the number of available resources at the time of the Booking.
3. Voucher and Discount Code terms
3.1 All voucher and Discount Codes are redeemable only via the Booking engine on our website. Booking payment must be paid in full in order to receive any discount.
3.2 Vouchers and Discount Codes may have an expiry date. After this expiry date the voucher or discount code will not be valid.
3.3 All Vouchers and Discount codes are subject to availability.
3.4 All Vouchers and Discounts codes are subject to these General Terms specific terms of the Voucher or Discount Code. When making a Booking using a Voucher or other Discount Code you are agreeing to all of these terms. Please read all terms before making your Booking.
3.5 JR Zone reserve the right to withdraw any voucher or discount code without notice.
4. The Activity
4.1 We will make every effort to supply the Activity in accordance with the Booking.
4.2 Activities are delivered by individual employees and we may have to cancel or reschedule an Activity where required due to an event outside our reasonable control, such as technical problems, illness or travel delays. We will contact you as soon as reasonably possible if this happens.
4.3 In the unlikely event that there is any problem with the Activity please give Us a reasonable opportunity to rectify any problem. We will use every effort to rectify any problem as soon as reasonably practicable.
5. Your rights to cancel and applicable refund
5.1 All cancellations need to be communicated to JR Zone via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. To enable us to process your cancellation promptly you must supply us the booking reference number, the booking date and time, the name and email address the booking was made in and your phone number.
5.2 Birthday Parties, Laser Storm Parties and Private Hire – Cancelling any Party Booking less than 3 weeks before your Booking date will result in no refund being offered.
5.3 Soft Play and Jolly Tots Bookings – Cancelling any Booking less than 24 hours before your Booking time will result in no refund being offered.
5.4 Special Event Bookings – Cancelling any Special Event Booking less than 3 weeks before your Booking date will result in no refund being offered.
5.5 In the event of a cancellation subject to 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4 above, we may offer either an alternative booking date and time, or a voucher to the value of the original Booking price. The voucher will be subject to the terms set out in section 3 of these terms and conditions
5.6 Where fewer numbers show for any Booking we will not issue a refund for the ‘no-shows’.
5.7 Any Rescheduled booking is subject to availability.
5.8 In the event that a refund is due to you under these Terms, We will refund you on the credit/debit card or to the PayPal account used by you to pay. If you used vouchers to pay for the Activity We may refund you in vouchers.
6. Parent, Carer & Guardian Responsibilities
6.1 JR Zone only accept children into the facility under the supervision of a responsible adult aged over 18. The responsible adult must stay on the premises for the duration of the activity. During your visit to JR Zone, you child or group of children are your responsibility.
6.2 Only food and drinks purchased at JR Zone maybe be consumed on our premises.
6.3 It is the responsibility of the activity organiser to inform party guests to arrive on time no more than a few minutes before the party start time. We are unable to offer additional play time to late comers.
6.4 Parent guests who bring any siblings that are not part of the party will be charged at our standard admission prices on the day.
6.5 All Parent and Guardians Guests are responsible to adhere to our General Terms including our Rusel of Play.
6.6 The Organiser must ensure all party children are collected by a parent or guardian at the end of the allocated party time.
6.7 The Organiser should provide candles and birthday cake. All cakes must be nut and allergen free. Shop purchased cakes must be supplied packaged with all allergy and ingredients details. All home-made cakes must be supplied with a full ingredients and allergen lists. We reserve the right not to allow birthday cakes that we are unable to establish the ingredients of or allergen contents.
6.8 All Staff at JRZone should always be treated courteously and with respect for the work they are doing. They should not be subject to abusive behaviour in any form, which includes rude, disrespectful and offensive behaviour, including derogatory remarks and disruptive acts amounting to verbal and emotional abuse, sexually inappropriate comments and behaviour, racist and discriminatory abuse, swearing and threats of physical violence, aggressive and violent behaviour. JRZone considers that staff should be safe at work and should not be exposed to undue or unreasonable risk. It believes that staff must work safely, free from the threat of injury or distress from the abusive behaviour of others. It will not tolerate abuse in any shape or form and will investigate all reported or observed incidents of staff being subject to disrespectful behaviour or abuse. Any person using abusive behaviour toward any member of the JRZone team will be asked to leave the premises immediately. If the behaviour is not in person, for example by phone, text message or email, any advance booking will be cancelled. Any refunds will be determined by our cancellation policy. Future bookings will be refused.
7. Party host responsibility
7.1 The Party Host will meet and greet guests on arrival. They are unable to wait for any guests who do not arrive on time.
7.2 The Party Host will serve the food to the children in the party room. They will also interact with the children and are there to ensure both adults and children have a great time.
8. Party policies and procedures
8.1 Management reserve the right to change the party room allocated at the time of booking without prior notice.
8.2 JR Zone may from time to time close rides, play frame slides and other equipment. We will endeavour to inform you of any closed sections prior to the party.
9. Party feedback and complaints
9.1 We may send you a party customer service feedback questionnaire by email 48 hours after the event. We may also call you to discuss any feedback given.
9.2 In the unlikely event that you have a complaint please email email@example.com detailing your complaint, as well as the date and time if appropriate.

12. Our liability
11.1 We do not exclude or limit in any way Our liability for:
(a) death or personal injury caused by Our negligence or the negligence of Our employees, agents or subcontractors;
(b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
(c) breach of the terms implied by section 2 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 (title and quiet possession);
(d) breach of the terms implied by sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 (description, satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and samples); and
(e) defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
12.2 If We fail to comply with these Terms, We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of Our breach of the Terms or Our negligence. We are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not an obvious consequence of Us breaching the Contract or not contemplated by you and Us at the time We entered into the Contract.
12.3 Please look after your belongings carefully when you visit our locations. We are not responsible for the loss or damage to any valuables, cash or other items belonging to you or any persons accompanying you while you are visiting any of our locations.
13. Gift Vouchers
13.1 Gift Vouchers can be purchased online on this website.
13.2 Gift Vouchers can be redeemed against any online booking at JR Zone only.
13.3 You can combine Gift Vouchers with other payment methods.
13.4 Multiple Gift Vouchers can be used at the same admission time.
13.5 One Gift Voucher can be used for multiple children.
13.6 Gift Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
13.7 Gift Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or offer.
13.8 We are not responsible for any lost or stolen Gift Vouchers.
14. Season Passes
14.1 After your purchase you will be issued a season pass code within 24 hours that can be redeemed during the online booking process. The season pass code will discount the value of the season pass from the booking.
14.2 Season passes are only redeemable against soft play sessions booked online only. We are unable to process season pass bookings at the front desk. Season Pass discounts will only be applied when using the email addess used when purchasing the Season Pass.
14.3 Season passes are not available in conjunction with other vouchers or discount codes.
14.4 Season Passes are only to be used by the Adult(s) and Child(ren) named on the initial purchase. We reserve the right to ask for identification of the lead adult on entering the JRZone play facility for bookings made using a season pass.
14.5 Misuse of the pass will result in the season pass code being invalidated with no refund being offered.
14.6 No refunds will be given for season pass purchases.
14.7 JRZone reserve the right to withdraw the Issuing and use of Season Passes and any time.
14.8 The free hot drink offer is not available to adults booked using the season pass code.
14.9 JRZone reserve the right to withdraw the Issuing and use of Season Passes and any time.
14.10 Season Passes are only valid for Soft Play bookings. They can not be used for any other activities or events held at JRZone.
15. Dogs & Other Animals
15.1 Dogs on children’s playgrounds represent a major health and injury hazard. We do not allow any dogs or other animals into JRZone.
